I am both an educator and a learner in all that I do. At times, I am a dynamic leader, other times, I am an enthusiastic follower as I pursue my diverse passions, both within a school setting and outside of my role as a classroom teacher. I am a theatre director and choreographer, having founded Higher Expectations Theatre, an educational theatre company committed to raising the bar of children and youth theatre. I have nurtured and challenged children, teens, and young adults as a counselor and coach at Red Arrow Camp for boys and as an assistant director at Appel Farm Summer Arts Camp. For over two decades, I have worked within my faith community as a youth leader, a Sunday School teacher, a faith mentor, and most recently an ordained pastor. With this unique, inclusive, and extensive background working with learners of all ages, I have developed a vast understanding of social-emotional learning and engaging teaching strategies and practices. Thanks to my educational efforts and experiences, I have had the opportunity to collaborate with schools and districts on dynamic professional development workshops for educators of all aged students across various content-areas. I have also had the honor of presenting all over the country and at the annual national conferences for the Independent Schools Association of the Central States (ISACS), the Association for Middle Level Education (AMLE), and the Educational Theatre Association (EdTA).
